Will E. McLeod, 75, of Alexandria, VA died unexpectedly on Sunday November 17, 2019 at Alexandria Hospital. He is survived by his daughter, Jill Hoffman, her husband Mike and their daughter Ellie; and his daughter Leah McLeod, her significant other Nestor, and their sons Gio and Leon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will P. McLeod and Eddie Mae McLeod, along with his brother, Nathaniel McLeod.
Will was born in Sylacauga, AL and later moved to Detroit, MI where he graduated from Mumford High School in 1962. He attended Wayne State University earning a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. After graduating, Will joined the U.S. Air Force and later served as a Special Agent in the Office of Special Investigations. He received his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School in 1976 and joined the IRS Chief Counsel as an attorney after graduation. He worked with the IRS until 2004 when he retired at age 60.
Will will be remembered for his ability to have passionate discussions on any topic imaginable, his dedication to understanding the mysteries of the universe and the concept of nothing, his regimented meal plans, and his infectious laughter. Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery during summer 2021.
