On Thursday, November 28, 2019, David Larsen, loving brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at the age of sixty.
David was born on February 15, 1959 in Milwaukee, WI to Robert and Doreen Larsen. He studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His career took him to several states including Illinois and Texas. He has lived in Arlington, Virginia for over twenty years where he worked for Gates Hudson & Associates as a financial analyst.
David had a passion for life and lived each day to its fullest. He loved everything sports, including the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers. As a season ticket holder, David traveled back to Wisconsin each year for games. He loved sharing this experience with his friends and they often attended games with him. David had an adventurous side as well and loved to travel. He was a member of The Hash House Harrier Running Club. A club better knows for a “drinking club with a running problem”. He also was a member of the Wisconsin Society and could be found grilling brats for their events. David developed many life-long friendships through these organizations where his “friends became his Arlington Virginia family”. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
David was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and his mother, Doreen. He is survived by his brother Donald (Megan) his sister Marian (Tony) and nieces Sarah, Gabrielle, and Rachel. He also leaves behind many caring relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff at Virginia Hospital Center for their excellent care and compassion. A celebration a life will be announced a later time.
