Mary Patricia White (Kelly), 67, beloved mom, grammy, sister and friend, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. After bravely battling severe spinal trauma and undergoing a multitude of surgeries over the last three years, the family finds comfort and peace knowing that Mary is living an eternity in Heaven, pain free and healthy.
Mary is survived by her three children: Christy Marie Weir (husband, Michael) of Silver Spring, MD and Kelly Suzanne White of Woodbridge, VA and Mark Andrew White (girlfriend Denni Truax) of Key West, FL; grandchildren: Andrew Maximillian (Max) White; siblings: Michael Kelly of Baltimore, MD and Patricia Roberts (husband, Ken) of Rockville Centre, NY and; the beloved extended Warzecha family and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Michael Kelly and her mother, Mary “Mame” Lowrey and her grandmother Mary Kelly.
Mary was born on March 23, 1950 in New York, New York and after graduating high school, went to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, first in New York, NY for seven years and then in Washington, DC as a Security Analyst for 10 years, until her retirement. Mary was a true animal lover, a gifted knitter and crocheter, a phenomenal cook with a passion for feeding anyone who walked into her kitchen and sending them home with a belly full of love, and an avid reader who always had the latest James Patterson novel with her.
A memorial service to celebrate her life is planned for Friday, April 27th at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kensington, MD with a reception to follow for friends and family after the memorial service.
